Its amazing that the Q400 is so much better than the 70 seat RJ's that more airlines didn't buy them. I get the "its a prop deal" but it truly shows other than Alaska/Horizon's management everyone else just is plain stupid.

I hope the Q400 deal works out well for the Horizon pilots.
 
The statement which ended in "when they are operational" says it all.

This sounds like when the E-Jets first came online, but from what I hear, the Q400 has very expensive parts.
 
With those numbers expect lots of furloughs. Even with the options.

Half the time they have to rob parts off of airplanes on the production line. One time in SMF, we needed a new nacelle. There was not one to be found, so we had to wait until Shorts Bros. in Ireland could manufacture one. It took almost three weeks.
 
Im putting money on Chataqua coming in with their Ejets on this one and filling in the void.
 
Brilliant, QX/AS management! "Shrink to profitablility" has worked so great for so many other airlines! (Especially those who kept only the least-reliable plane in their fleet)
