Just read that the Department of Homeland Security issued a warning that Al Qaeda terrorists may be hatching a plan to hijack more aircraft and use them as guided missiles.

Keep your heads up!

Uh huh. I think Tom Ridge changed the alert level whenever he has a bad dream.

Imagine the howls and cries if those subhumans pulled of a 9/11-style attack again.

The roar from the left and the right in my opinion would be completely eclipsed by the volume of out rage from the people directed squarely at the government as a whole.

Where it would lead one can only begin to speculate and shudder at the though of it

How many people acutally think some one could get away with another attack like that? I for one (as a passenger) wouldn't allow it to happen. I think the best defense would be the passengers on board to begin with.

I believe that was their trump card. I remember just a few weeks ago the looks I got when I had to get up and run to the bath room just right before push back. I honestly don't think other passengers would let something to that magnatude happen again.

Arm the pilots!

Anyone know what the latest status is on arming the pilots? Isn't there a limited number of pilots that have weapons on them now? Or who have at least passed the training required to do so?

Personally I think it's a diversionary tactic to draw our attention away from the real target, though I don't have a clue what that could be.

I'm not saying 9/11 couldn't happen again in aviation, but it would be extremely difficult. These monsters are also cowards and will not face any unnecessary opposition.

*getting on soapbox*

I am getting tired of the TSA issuing theese new warnings every time some Al-Queda "Operative" tells of a threat during interrogation. The TSA and Media are perpetuating the fear of terrorisim in Americans that the terrorists want. Not to say that they may not be planning another attack, as the TSA says, but I believe that the TSA is just giving the terrorists what they want. Continued Fear. They have had the American people on the edge of thier seats for coming up on 2 years. The economy has suffered and so have many citizens. Theese terrorists are smart, right when the economy begins to rebound and people's lives are returning to normal....here comes another threat. The market reacts, people react, and the terrorists get what they want, Chaos.

But I'll feel safer now that all of my nail clippers don't have files and my shoes have been wanded.

Well actually, the HSA issued the warning, not the TSA.

The TSA doesn't issue warnings...their job is to look like a security force.

Im watching the news tonite and its the "Scare Passengers" Hour. Tommorrow nite, How to survive a plane crash...Im not making this up! Not a good day for airlines.

But what more can we be doing? Realisticlly? All the screeners are getting as much training as they are going to get. Searching ever single persons bag as they board is not practical and wont happen.

911 will never happen agiain!!!!!!!

Pax are way to wise to this.... As soon as somebody attemps a hijack, everybody in that airplane will level his arse...

GAME OVER
