One story and one observation:

I used to work with a Captain at Casino Express who, for some weird reason, was asked to portray a pilot for the movie 'The Bodygaurd' (one of those horrible Costner flicks). He joined the Screen Actors Guild afterwards and to this day probably still gets a three cent royalty check every month. He was so proud. Anyways, the Captain now works for Southwest and goes strictly by his proud nickname, Hollywood. Anyone else got a good Hollywood-type story?

Now for the observation. I was watching the new Harold and Kumar movie yesterday and noticed a flying tube of Aquafresh, aka ExpressJet. It was actually very hard to miss. Also, does anyone know which commuter they used in 'Over the Top'? Was it Scenic Airways? Any other obvious regionals/commuters in movies I need to keep an eye for?

In 'View from the Top' there is are two parts in the movie that show a SkyWest Brasilia in UEX paint landing.

In the Pauly Shore movie 'Son in Law' there's a scene that shows an Eagle Saab with what looks like a brand new paint job!

And in 'War Games' there's a scene with some old school Horizon action. Can't remember if its an F-27 or Metro.

'Jerry Maguire' Tom is in LAX at our old terminal 6 gates with the SkyWest E120 tails in the background. They probably filmed it there because that terminal would become a ghost town after every push.

In the "Legend of Ron Jeremey" the openeing scene he's walking thru the UEX skywest terminal and getting on a Brasildo....carrying his stuff in a paperbag. that dude just screams class.

I saw that guy walking through the SLC airport a few years ago. It was funny watching all of the people trying to take pictures with him. The best were the women that knew who he was. :p You dirty girls.

The hedgehog flys on us quite often....or so I have heard.

I know an ex marine hornet-pilot who was in Independence Day (the alien invasion one) with Will Smith. He still get's a few hundred a month...when we were in the reserves together we'd make him pay for beer every drill weekend with his royalty check.

I'm sure I saw Sammy Hagar get on the airplane in SUN... his name wasn't on the paper work, but it had to be him.

I was doing my CFI in 2003 at MYF in San Diego. That was the year the Super Bowl was there. There was a butt load of hollywood star's planes including Harrison Ford's Beaver. Also, when I was flying traffic watch in Riverside, CA, I used to fly from 5-8am and then from 3-6pm. I lived 50mi from the airport and it was an hour commute each way with no traffic so I always opted to just stay there and chill at Barnes and Noble or sleep on the couch in the terminal (which really isn't one) they have there. One day a hot latina chick walks in after she parks her Benz and I was oogling her while she walked into the little restaurant they have in the terminal. I didn't think anything of it until a Citation pulled up on the ramp and out walks Brian "Dexter" Holland from The Offspring. He cruised into the terminal and said hi to me and went into the restaurant, I presume to meet that hot latin girl.

BTW Hollywood on the second post also was the amphib pilot in Raiders of the Lost Ark. He is the pilot who is fishing from the pontoon who flies out Ford while the arrows are flying.
