could be, but i flew with our VP of Flight ops a little over a week ago, and his words were "republic is the frontrunner, the 170 is a superior product, and costs are neutral between skywest and republic".

I thought that Skywest is getting the Northwest flying?

I predict, and can say authoritatively, that somebody or nobody has or has not told anybody or nobody that someone or no one will or won't be awarded something or nothing.

Furthermore, I predict that regardless of who does or doesn't get awarded something or nothing, all of the other nobodies will immediately begin calling them names.

Just fly the plane, switch monkeys.

When is Horizon with drawing their CR7s for F9? My bet is on Skywest getting the NWA flying, Republic getting F9, and Air Willy getting the Midwest flying. Just a guess.

I couldn't agree with you more with respect to the paycheck. Unfortunately we can't seem to get the passengers to care about that. And we know management will never care about that....but so goes aviation these days.

When is Horizon with drawing their CR7s for F9?

Here's the schedule:
  • 2 aircraft in January
  • 1 aircraft in September
  • 1 aircraft in October
  • 1 aircraft in November
  • 4 aircraft in early December (before the holidays)
The exact return dates have yet to be determined, since they'll be synched up with schedule changes and crew bid dates for both Horizon and Frontier Airlines within each respective month.
