Is anybody here familar with the airspace around KMSY? Today I was looking at my Jepp Lo 40 chart and noticed something that is very confusing to me. On V9-543 10 miles north of then 20nm KMSY ring there is a published hold at the OYSTY intersection. The racetrack diagram shows the hold to be left hand turns but the arrow indicates right hand turns. I only have Jepp charts so I can't look at the FAA depiction. Is anybody familar with this hold? If so, does this holding pattern have right or left turns?

Thanks and Happy Holidays

I live just a few miles from the OYSTY intersection, that's why I took the time to look this up. The link below is to the NOS diagram of the RYTHM THREE arrival into MSY. The hold at the OYSTY intersection is published with standard right hand turns.

I guess it's as published. The graphic is just printed a hair low, that's all. It still shows right turns as the NOS chart shows. Won't that drive all of us nuts. This would be a fun one to show instrument students,or new FOs. Take care.

I see the procedure as correctly depicted with right hand turns. Driving in on the MCB 173 you hit OYSTY at 50 DME (or crossing the PCU 253).

Mickey's comments about being depicted a bit low had me scratching my head. I guess that would be a puzzler for students and new FOs who thought the hold was at RYTHM (MCB DME 46) with a 353 inbound course. But that is not the case.
