Breaking news. Herb Brooks, the coach of the "miricle on ice" at the olympics over the USSR, is dead at the age of 66. Just died in a car crash in Forset Lake, Minnesota. Quite a guy.

Always sad to lose a talented sports icon such as Herb. He's going to hoist the cup at the highest level now.

That really sucks. Crap like this always happens to the good ones. Thanks for all you've done for the greatest game on earth Herbie!

Right before the olympics, there was an article in USA Today about the '80 olympic team and what they're doing today. One of the players is a captain at Mesaba. Anyone know him? I can't think of his name.

I figured you would know that brett hull... after all, you *are* a hockey player too ;)

Al Secord, another former NHL player, is also a captain with AA, last I heard.
