Just curious where the employee parking lot for Hobby is and if your Houston Airport System badge is what gives you access. I am an ExpressJet guy and was hoping to use you guys to commute to LAX next month. I rather not compete with CAL commuters out of IAH.
Thanks.

There is no employee parling in HOU. However, you do get a discounted rate per month at many of the local parking spots there. I use the Parking Spot and it runs about $33 a month.

There is no employee parking at HOU for commuters. SWA pilots and FA's even have to pay for their own parking. Your Houston airport badge will not help you out at HOU. Most people get a discount at places like The Parking Spot. I know The Parking Spot charges airline employees $34 per month. I work for JetBlue and they pay for mine because the airport doesn't offer any parking for commuters. You won't find any of the places down there that will let you pay a monthly fee and park at both airports. Good luck.

I used to commute out of HOU and always parked at AMPCO. Not the greatest shuttle service, but only paid 10 bucks for 4 days. (after the employee discount)

Yep...AMPCO runs $34.42 per month for contract covered parking. Not the most frequent shuttle, but I've never been late for check-in either.

I think the parking spot is charging 55$ a month.

I get a rate of $34.95 uncovered or $39.95 covered at The Parking Spot. I paid for six months about two months ago and that was the rate. So unless they raised it, that is what I pay. The shuttle is always less than a two minute wait.
