It's always good to have options.

Mooser is smart to take an ExpressJet interview. He has already been disappointed by Great Lakes once due to a promised class date being cancelled.

Promises seem to mean nothing in aviation. Good for you, Mooser, for keeping your options open. Hopefully you will be in a new hire class SOMEWHERE by November.

Mooose pray to sweet Jebus they dont ask you "so, have you had any accidents/incidents???"
I know they will and I will just be straight with them and tell em that it was my fault (like it was) and how much I have learned from the experience.

Either way I have the November 1st class date with lakes...

Well good luck buddy.. you'll love XJT if you get the job

Mooser,
I've read a bunch of your posts in the past and never saw you had any type of accident. Do you mind sharing the story?

Smoker

PS - good luck on the interview!

What happened?.

When I was offered a 1900 ground instructor position with them way back when their was a pilot at the same interview who had one (possibly two DUI's) who was hired.

If Martini Dawn finds you to be her "type" then you should have it made !!.

Sure; about a year and a half ago I had an gear up with a student...I let my studnet distract me (the key word being "I") my student slaped the gear handle down I didn't realize that it wasn' in the full down position and the gear only managed to get 1/8th of the way down. We were doing a no flap landing so there was pleny of power to keep the gear horn from going off and I didn't do a GUMPS check...end result was a gear up landing and a incident on my record...

You will NEVER catch me skiping any checklists or flowchecks in the future!!!

I have been forever humbled by the experience

Would they consider anyone with under 1000TT? I can send them a resume very quickly. I don't want to flight instruct anymore.

Also, what are the chances of going directly to the jet as opposed to a turboprop?

Thanks,

RiddleMan80
Eagle will probably hire you with 600 total, I hear they are having a super tough time finding anyone to accept their job offers.

Tell David Opwonya to enjoy the rest of his life at Riddle because that freedom scab will never get anywhere else.
Unfortunately, I believe he got hired at Pinnacle......
