Quick question or two about how the different Regionals hire:

I've been searching around various regionals websites, and a lot of them have ME mins near 200+ hrs (I know there are a few that require less). I meet their TT mins, but I've only got a little over 100 multi. How firm are those ME minimums? If/when I start sending resumes out I will have 1000 PIC turbine, so will that help? Or will the less than 200 ME on my resume send it straight to the trash?

Thanks in advance. ;)

Some of the regionals, that's the recommended or preferred time as they say. For example, Trans-States, says something like 200 multi I believe, but there's a disclaimer that says, they'll hire guys with less hour depending on whatever. I know someone who got hired at Trans-States with around 100 multi. I think you might be able to apply to some, and see what happens, but some airlines, if you apply without meeting the mins, then you might have to wait X amount of weeks or months before you can re-apply to them.

Thanks for the info guys. I appreciate it. ;)

Fact: You won't get hired anywhere if you don't apply.

Since you have 135, SP, turbine experience you shouldn't have a problem. If they throw your resume in the trash, it's their loss.

The answer is always no if you never ask.

Good Luck

I definitely second what T-prop says. I would add that you should work any connections that you have. A lot (probably "most") airlines put a premium on an internal recommendation from a current line pilot. And that can make a huge difference if you are just shy of the stated minimums.

Bottom line - don't worry about what you think the airlines want. Keep flying and putting out resumes and apps. And good luck to you.
