I'm not sure which plane we gave back to Raytheon (it wasn't UB-1 or GA...)..... could've been N5632C...... or N1553C..... I'll double check today when I go to work.

-we have a few of Great Lakes old C models.... N41UE... .and N45GL.... still going strong!

Thankyou everyone for responding! This has been very interesting!

hey 5 and 2,

Pm me, I was wondering if a few people are still at lakes and where did you go to school?

We are flying a 65 Sabre with over 12k on it. We were told it is the highest timed 65 out there. Still going strong, we fly 5-6 days/wk.

Someone else said it but the Highest time aircraft/airframe in the world is 136PB. It was operated by PBA until the late 80's early 90's. I think it retired with close to 100K. I havent heard of any DC 9's that had that much. Maybe cycles? Nova did a special on PBA a while back and showed them flying 136 PB. Great show.

B1900C tail #

the plane we sent back to Raytheon was N1563C..... the "highest time B1900C in the world"

(and we're negotiating to "lease" it back from them for a few months while we upgrade the avionics in our airplanes..... Capstone II )

-cool

mkpickle , see what I posted on page one and the reference: Flight International, ageing aircraft supplement, has some very high DC9 times in it

40,000 hour Super Cub

I knew a guy by the name of "Red". He flew a Super Cub doing pipeline and powerline patrol. He logged about 30,000 hours in it and had purchased it with around 9,000 hours on it. The guy is darn near 80. He flew alot in the midewest. I met him in OLU a few years back. Anybody ever met this guy?

Northwest donated a 747-151 to Western Michigan U. a couple years ago. It had about 94000 hours if I remember correctly. It was cheaper to donate and get a tax break than get another D cycle check and keep flying. it's now unofficially the worlds largest glider and bird nest. (Northwest kept the engines after arriving in BTL)

Brian, take flights 172's got to have around 20k on them, I think one of them does - still flying strong to this day.......

2 of the CV580's era still flies only have about 16 and 18k hrs on them......amazingly low, and they were built in 57'!

flew an Mu2 a few years ago that was the highest time flying mu2 on the planet. It set a new record everytime it flew.

It flew the OMA-DSM-MDW-DSM-OMA route for CASI who is now ACT.

N37AL

Not exactly sure what the times where but it was huge.
