I heard Northwest is going with a new paint scheme.....I hope it's nothing similar to Target Stores. They'd better hope our boys have found all those cache's of shoulder launched SAM's over there.
Now here's a trip that's probably worth calling in sick for:

Northwest Air Seeks OK to Fly to Baghdad

CHICAGO (Reuters) - Northwest Airlines Corp. (NasdaqNM:NWAC - News) said on Friday it has applied to U.S. government agencies for permission to start flight service to Baghdad after a prohibition on flights to Iraq for more than a decade.
UAL Corp.'s (OTC BB:UALAQ.OB - News) United Airlines has also filed an application with the Department of Transportation to put its code on Lufthansa and Austrian airline flights to Iraq, DOT spokesman Bill Mosley said.
A U.S. presidential executive order has banned commercial flights to the Iraqi capital since 1990, and Northwest is the first major carrier to seek approval to fly to Iraq since the recent Iraq war.
Northwest said it wants to start service from Detroit to Baghdad via Amsterdam because the southwest Michigan area has the highest population of Iraqis in the United States.
The White House would have to authorize a resumption of service before U.S. passenger and cargo airlines could fly there again, Mosley said.
"This is prohibited at the current time. We're in the process of exploring with other agencies restoring service once this prohibition is lifted," Mosley said.
He said there was no timetable for a government decision on the issue.
Cargo carriers World Airways Inc. and North American Airlines Inc. have also applied for permission to fly to Baghdad, Mosley said.
Northwest has not specified how many flights to Iraq it would operate, but the carrier has said it would use DC-10 aircraft and would likely partner with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (Amsterdam:KLM.AS - News) on Baghdad flights, a Northwest spokeswoman said.
"Northwest's proposed service will permit the transport of persons and cargo needed to support the U.S. effort to rebuild and stabilize Iraq in the aftermath of the recent war," the airline said in documents filed with the DOT.
"Furthermore, Northwest's service will help to establish a commercial relationship between the United States and Iraq that has been dormant for well over a decade," it said. (Additional reporting by John Crawley in Washington)
