Hey guys,

I'm Harry (but you can call me Haz) and I reside within the United Kingdom. I am also 13 years old. I have had some aircraft experience (see profile) and I hope to learn some more from this forum. I do ground training at my High School as we have an aviation training course and I am currently doing meteorology.

Cya around,

~Haz

HAZ,

Welcome Aboard. Wish I would have started @ 13! Good luck to you and your Aviation ventures.

Haz,

If you love airplanes and you love to fly, it's already too late! Welcome aboard mate!

did an airshow in farmborough, thats where drinking and flying really do mix...fly in ,static display, and beers from all over europe/africa,. The britts were great hosts(including that RAF Nurse). hada great time over there if anyone EVER gets a chance to go to the Royal Air Tattoo, I HIGHLY recommend going, excpecially as crew, the ball was great. Welcome Britts rock!

Cheers! And welcome.

Prediction: Haz could be a Captain for British Airways at age 21.

Keep doing meteorology Haz...but don't ever let her blow you off course

welcome

Welcome aboard Harry.

I got hooked on aviation at an early age as well.
It can be a bumpy ride at times but it's a very
rewarding journey.

Good luck and enjoy the ride.

Ah, close to home :)

My wife and I spend a few weeks in the Richmond area each year.

Hi Haz,

You've joined just in time. They got rid of all the racy avatars a few days ago. :)

Have a blast. Hope you fly for BA some day -- my favorite airline.

Welcome to the trenches you little Brit!

Man, I envy you. I didn't get started in aviation until I was 17. Got my Private pilots licence and graduated high school the same week. Made a couple of the local papers. I always knew though and that's important.

I love that Sara Ferguson-what a babe. It's the red hair and the accent. Can you introduce me? Jolly good show mate, what!

(did I say that right?)

PS. General Lee is a moron.

Haz,

The General is not a moron. We just disagree with a lot, but he is NOT a moron!;)

N2264J,

Are you a former military pilot? If so, I didn't know the military would train for vfr only in the helo's.

Welcome Haz,

Aviation is a sick and disturbing condition to have. Glad to have you with us!

I'm just kidding around except that I really do want to meet Sara Ferguson.

I flew helicopters and multi engine airplanes in the military and had the Navy's special instrument card which allowed us to depart in 0/0 conditions if the mission warrented. When I applied for my ATP in helicopters (a civilian rating), it was divided into two catagories: IFR or VFR only. I don't think that's the case today. I believe it's now an all encompassing IFR rating just like the fixed wing counterpart. At the time, I had already completed all the VFR requirements (written test, military equivalancy and the Fed ride) but the scheduling opportunity for an observed Navy training flight never presented itself to get the IFR portion (the FAA examiner was an Air National Guard helicopter pilot at a nearby base) so my ticket says:

"Airline Transport Pilot, Airplane Multiengine Land Rotorcraft-Helicopter" and under limitations:

"BH-212 and SK-61 (VFR ONLY)" So my ATP in helicopters is only good for VFR.
