Just curious, can a G550 or Global make it from the NY area to Beijing Non-stop and if not where would/do you make your tech stops?

Thanks in advance

In a G-550, with perfect winds, theoretically yes. Personally, I'd rather tech stop and crew swap in ANC.

No. PANC or PAFA

I know some who have done it. Over the top and on fumes into ZBAA.

I just have no need for that.

The very reason why I always loved the G-IV over the long legged V. There is never a perfectly good reason to overfly five star hotel, golf course or wet bar!

unless your the designatedpilot getting off in the tech stop for a week....like PANC in January

Not much worse than a week in PANC in the winter. Man that sucks.

Summer is awesome, winter is like hell.

I always tried to be the Asia crew during the winter, and ride home on the plane coming back.
