DESCRIPTION: News Flight: Chief Pilot
News Corporation is looking for a seasoned leader to join its News
Flight team as a Chief Pilot. This is an excellent opportunity to
learn and grow with one of the pre-eminent media content and
distribution companies in the world. News Corporation has
holdings around the globe in several mediums including television,
newspapers, magazines and inserts, films entertainment and book
publishing.

Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain a cohesive News Flight team and
foster an environment of open communication.
• Promote a team-oriented and collaborative environment
with the News Flight team.
• Ensure safety and security precautions on the flight line.
• Establish and supervise the initial and recurrent training
of aviation department personnel, both internally and externally,
with a professional training facility.
• Instruct flightcrews in the use of the standard operating
procedures (SOP) manual.
• Keep abreast of the latest developments within the
business aviation community, including the FARs and other Federal,
state, local and foreign regulations affecting operations.
• Ensure that revisions and amendments to the standard
operations procedures are current.
• Prepare and distribute periodic reports and statistics as
required.
• Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial
forecasts.
• Review the current budget implementation.
• Evaluate department expenditures incurred by
subordinates.

Requirements
• First Class Medical
• ATP with G-4 Type Rating
• 5,000 Flight Hours minimum
• 1,000 hours G-4
• Clean pilot record with no accidents or violations
• Overseas flying experience a plus
• US Passport required
• Bachelors degree a plus
