How long should it take to get a High Performance Endorsement? Cost?

Also, if anyone can suggest someone in the Ft. Lauderdale, FL. area that would be great...

Please PM me if you have someone in mind,
Many Thanks,
Michael

Time varies with how comfortable the instructor feels with your abilities. A lot comes along with the endorsement besides the > 200hp requirement. Some pilots take longer to transition to the characteristics of a faster plane (commonly > 200hp) as well as the systems.

I got lucky and found a CFI who was flying a Navajo part 91 corporate and let me ride along for a few hours and pick up the endorsement as well as some valuable experience.

Took me about 3 hours in a Piper Comanche 250 @ $150/hr (plane and CFI).
