Relating to some other posts "I lost a friend" and "a modest proposal" by Timebuilder. While I hope that someone or a group steps up to handle this great proposal ( and I'm about as sharp as an M&M so I don't think I'm the guy, although I would love to pitch in with some legwork or research if someone will take charge), in the meantime it is going to be a very tough Christmas and next few months for Mrs. William Ford who will be having a baby in February and going it alone since Will just left us last Wednesday.

I thought about doing this before but I didn't know if people would be skeptical. I would like to ask anyone who feels up to it to donate a small financial gift to help with a trust fund for Will's child. There is a trust fund being set up by my company (Flight Express) and I apologize for not having the info yet but as soon as I get it I will repost on this thread. ( I want to keep this thread up top for a while anyway)

If nothing else at least say a prayer,

Thank you and God bless,

Jeff

I'd go ahead and post the info when you get it.

It may take some real effort to get people motivated enough to get this off the ground. Say a prayer for that, too.

Donation

Just let me know where to send my small contribution to this family in need. I have been out of work for 8 months myself and I also have a little one but I see how small my problems are compared to this family and other families. Luckily I got in the military last month so I will start earning a descent check in a few months when I head off to OCS.

I feel sorry for this guy's wife, I saw what my wife went through. Having a baby should be a special occasion enjoyed by both husband and wife.

trust fund

First of all, thank you guys that have responded already. I got this information from Will's sister who was here in St. Louis gathering his personal belongings. It is the family who set up the trust fund, not my company, (although Flight Express is doing its part, I know) It is the lawyer for the family who will be taking care of it, I personally would feel more comfortable with a specific account #, which I will continue to work on. But if your OK with it, here is the lawyers address;

Joey Blanche
10722 Missouri Ave.
Los Angeles CA
90025

Again, thank you all very much, if you would rather wait for an account #, I will continue to work on that. I'm sure it's legit since it came from his sister, it's just with all you hear in the news and everything...... Sorry to be sceptical.

Take care, Jeff

210fr8dog, Do you know if Will Wife needs money to get by now? I will be happy to give a part of my unemployment check to her sons trust fund but I was thinking that with the baby on the way the money may be better used now (and the next six months). Maybe someone in here family can set up a local PO box for contributions. Just a thought. Either way I'm in. -Bean

Bean,

That was very considerate. Flight Express is continuing to pay Will's salary to his wife Lesley until William Ford V (the fifth) is born sometime in Feb. (way to go JK, you're the man!!) If you want to make sure it goes to Lesley just make the check out to her but the address is still the same:

10722 Missouri Ave.
Los Angeles, CA
90025

You can also make a check to: Vanguard 529 College Savings Plan
and on the Memo line write: William Ford V College Fund

To everyone who has responded and everyone who plans to help out even though you didn't respond here, you all are giants among men. I know times are hard now with the economy, furloughs, etc. but you guys are making a difference and I'm very proud of you for that. Even $10 could make a big difference 18 years down the road. This info. is all legit., I've made sure of that. Feel free to PM or e-mail ([email protected]) if you have questions or anything. Fly safe and God bless,

Jeff

I think it is noble of you to be helping the family and very classy of you. I think we all need to stop, take a breath, and look at the big picture of life and aviation in general. Aviation can be so full of the ME ME ME mentality it can be disappointing.

Have you considered setting up a paypal or other kind of account also?
