Just did some practice CALs (Confined Area Landings) in the Navy Search and Rescue H-3 today. It was challenging but lots of fun. Our rotor tip path was less than a foot from some of the trees when we landed. Then, we flew up the beach, and lots of people were waving to us as we flew overhead. The point is... I was intent of flying jets when I joined the Navy about 7 years ago, but now, I wouldn't change a thing! Helos are lots of fun! I have pics of us doing the landings if anyone wants to see what I mean. Just a plug for helos-
