Looking for a little advice/hook ups/whatever. I'm flying fixed-wing IFR 135 for a small freight company, but my heart is in helos. Problem is I didn't stay in the military long enough to get huge helo hours, so I'm below, for example, CAMTS standards to get into medevac. Anybody know anything or work someplace where I could get my foot in the door, either SIC on 2-pilot ship or something along those lines. I have 700 hours, all turbine, and most was in CH-46s (20K lbs +). Combat time, overwater time, etc. Just looking for that magic foot in the door...

Grand canyon or off shore work. Good luck. :)

Yeah Man, I appreciate it! I'm still trying to get the hang of this site---everytime I think I reply it doesn't show the first time, etc. What do you expect mixing technology and former Marines, huh?! I have my medical tomorrow, as a matter of fact, so i want to have a fresh 1st class in hand before I make the call. Thanks millions man! And I hope this works and you know that....

Props,

I'd love to get on at Columbia, but I don't know a soul flying there, and I've never heard back when the resume went out. I don't know if I'd get different results if someone handwalked it, or if it's like everyplace else and they're harda**ed about their mins, which I always seem to be under! They say they want 1000---when I had 300 I had bullets coming at me in Kuwait and 20 guys in the back, and I've only gotten older, more experienced and (hopefully) wiser since then! But, if ya know something I'd sure appreciate the info---they're a great outfit from anything I've ever heard, and I'd love to get my foot in the door.
