Danm! I'll bet there're a couple of Chit-hook pilots out there who could use a change of shorts... :D
 
Nope!

They more than likely never knew that they contacted the load untill they heard the crew chief yelling "Hold your down!, we just hit the load". The pilots have no way of knowing how far they are from the load without the crew chief or flight engineer telling them. Not an easy task when you can't see the load. Fortunately I have not had the oportunity to hit a load, but I do know how the crew fealt when it happened. The thing that got the most damage here was their ego's. ;)
