I'll bite Tony.

Cornucopia gives the image of overflowing. Therefore it would be more than plethora, which gives an image of abundance yet not overflowing. :D

Unless it is a veritable plethora. Veritable trumps.

On topic: I recently heard a center guy say, and I quote: "Whoever it is asking about the chop, shut-up."

i wanna buy each and every controller at riverside and all in tulsa tracon, and prob the ones in the cab too a whole bunch of beer for being able to decypher CHINLISH.
What do we PILOTS get for putting up with trying to interpret Chinlish, and making sure we don't kill everyone on board by having a midair with these fools?

Here's one for you

One night a few years ago, we were going into Miami. ATC was busy, there were some scattered thunderstorms, nothing too unusual. I don't get to Miami very often so I'm fuzzy on the locations.

N123: Miami approach, Duke 123, VFR 5,000, landing ABC, requesting clearance into the Class B via direct DEF direct.

Miami: Duke 123, maintain VFR, stay five miles off shore and remain clear of the Class B.

N123: Miami, Duke 123, VFR 5,000, landing ABC, requesting clearance into the Class B via direct DEF direct.

Miami: Duke 123, I said remain clear of the Class B. Don't call me back.

N123: Miami, Duke 123, VFR 5,000, landing ABC, requesting clearance into the Class B via direct DEF direct.

Miami: Duke 123, do NOT call me back.

N123: Miami, Duke 123, VFR 5,000, landing ABC, requesting clearance into the Class B via direct DEF direct.

Miami: Duke 123, if you call me once more I will see to it that you never fly again.

N123: Miami, Duke 123, VFR 5,000, landing ABC, requesting clearance into the Class B via direct DEF direct.

Miami: Amazing!

My only run in with ATC was when I was on my Instrument check ride in actual, vectors for an ILS.

Me: Radar vectors for ILS 9 and we have the weather.

Chicago: And what weather is that?

Me: The weather into aurora (i forgot what code it was on)

Chicago: And what weather is that?

Moral of the story dont put IFR check ride under Remark section of Flight plan. I think they were just giving me a hard time because of this.

sorry to rain on your parade but i could have swore that inst rides have to be done VMC. you are PIC and dont have the rating to go into the clouds, yet. can someone please let me know if im right or wrong?

Well it was done in IMC. Maybe because the DE was Instrument rated?

My checkride was mostly in IMC, but it's the examiners choice whether or not to fly when the wx is bad. Some won't do the checkride in IMC, even if you want to.

You only need VMC for certain maneuvers on the IR checkride, for example, Unusual Attitudes and Steep Turns.

We did steep turns in the clouds and got a block altitude for unusual attitudes.
