well we are taking a comanche 250 from northern NY down to the bahamas, anyone ever flown around the islands? Any hints, tips, or recommeneded places to visit while we are there?

I think it will be a fun trip.

Crazynuts, your making us all jealous! Comanche 250, nice airplane!

Some airports in the Bahamas close early, I think in Eluertah, just call ahead to make plans if your delayed. If going to Freeport, enjoy the our lucaya resort, I think they have a choice of about 15 restaurants and local shopping nearby. Try the casinos as well, I love to go gambling there.

In Nassau the beach is nice at the british colonial? I've also done some awesome parasailing and snorkling is a great choice of destressing and just enjoying the water, salt and sand.

Have fun!

Call the FBOs in KFPR to arrange a paperwork package and survival equipment. Unless you are looking for alot of hotel/gambling ammenities avoid Freeport and Nassau. Some places advertise "fly-in" deals for pilots. Still, expect to pay a good bit for accomodations and food.
