We are headhunting for one of the leading players in the air service in Malaysia. They are looking for MD11 Captain with gross remuneration offer of over USD10,000 a month, MD11 Cruise Captain with gross remuneration offer of over USD5,000 a month and MD11 First Officer with gross remuneration of over USD4,000 a month.

For the MD11 Captain position, the requirements are:
Minimum 3,000 hours in command on transport type category jet
Rated on type with minimum 500 hours on type


For the MD11 Cruise Captain position, the requirements are:
Minimum 1,500 hours in command on transport type category jet
Rated on type with minimum 300 hours on type

For the MD11 First Officer position, the requirements are:
Minimum 2,000 jet hours
Rated on type with minimum 200 hours on type

Pilot must have MD-11 rating currently and last flight on a MD-11 must be less then 3 months.

Hey guys, look closely at this ad, see where the FO is required...

For the MD11 First Officer position, the requirements are:
Minimum 2,000 jet hours
Rated on type with minimum 200 hours on type

This is probably in country where there is an "SIC" type rating. Those applauding the new regs coming where 121 operators must type their "SIC"s, look closely at this ad.

If a guy had 200 hours in an MD11, why in the hell would he not be employed, and why in the hell would he want to live in Malaysia

I think the 200 hours in type requirement for the SIC, is to prevent the "type buyers" from applying...at least those who don't possess the 200 hours in type anyway.
