Maybe her replacement will be against age 65

Head of FAA stepping down
Marion C. Blakey, the administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration, will become the new head of the Aerospace Industries Association, a trade group, The New York Times reported. Blakey was formerly the head of the National Transportation Safety Board.

Maybe her replacement will be for age 70

Maybe someday our government will be run by honest people with enough integrity to avoid leaving a cbinet position one day and going to work as an industry lobbyist the next.

No better than a comon thief.

Maybe her replacement will know what an "airplane" is.

We can only hope.

*crossing my fingers, toes and anything else I can cross that maybe someone with a solid aviation background will step into the position.....*

She should know her role and get back in the kitchen.

I hope she gets about 2 weeks from starting her new job, and the former guy decides to stay for 5 more years.....

That's FUNNY!

Her term is up this fall; another political appointee will get the job. From the moment it was announced, you could see that Blakey was going to toss out the age 65 NPRM right before leaving her position, leaving it to her replacement to decide what to do. It will likely be instituted somewhere around 2010. The form that the change takes is still in question.
