No offence, but have you guys all been flying jets so long that you forget what it was like to have fun flying? Are you all telling me you've never done this. If not, you're definately missing something. Not trying to burn anyone, but you all are on his case for having some fun. Just hope he keeps the ball centered.

I hope he had small N numbers. Looked like fun. I loved how he cut off that white car on the highway.

The funniest thing about that 747 video is that someone got nailed in the shorebreak as it was flying over.

Ah, the good ole' days..... While I don't normally condone this kind of behavior, look at the area in which the pilot is flying, over fields.....

It gives me an idea ........

Man, I love that stuff!!

Pull down the ol' visor (shades), commence the strafing run in your trusty, battle scared, P51 (150) and scatter the Germans (cows). :D :D

Best to do it on clear sunshiny days though; it's a whole lot easier to spot those pesky power lines. :p

I don't get it, was this a check ride being filmed and the guy flunked?

I don't think so - although the field that comes into view looks like it would make for a nice soft field landing strip, there appears to be a farm house directly in line with the approach. Also, the aircraft is carrying way to much speed for that to be a simulated engine out approach not too mention that there is no discerbable prop arc that I would think to be visible with the power pulled back to near idle. I think the video was filmed in Europe and initially I thought the aircraft might be an Aermacchi SIAI Marchetti SF.260 used as a military trainer by several countries in Europe but the view over the nose does not mathc cockpit photos (http://www.geocities.com/sf260e/N401FD/N7.jpg). The aircraft may be a Commander but seems more likley that it is one of the Socata singles (Maybe a TB21 TC Trinidad).
