6 injured in crash landing near Montreal

BROMONT, QUE. - Six American tourists were injured when their small plane crash-landed east of Montreal Monday night. Early reports indicate the runway lights were out as the plane made its final approach at the Bromont airport in the Eastern Townships. Transport Canada is investigating.

The aircraft touched down left of the runway and spun around twice before crashing to a stop.

All on board were taken to a local hospital in the Eastern Townships. Five of the injuries were considered minor, while one person was seriously hurt.

The plane, which belonged to Scott Aviation of West Chicago, Ill., had been en route from Montreal.
