I think I saw a Raytheon ad in the paper today showing a Hawker 4000 taking off - I assume that it has either been certified or will be soon.

What's the deal with Netjets at the 4000? How many orders and when will we see them? Anyone hear any advanced word on this airplane? How will it compare to the Challenger 300?

We are going to take delivery of one plane and fly it for a year to work the bugs out of it, then take delivery of the 25 or 50 ordered after that if all goes well. That plane was seen at PDK two days ago, still being flown by Raytheon pilots.

The 4000 and 300 will have comparable performance numbers all around, especially short field. The biggest drawback to the 4000, relative to the G200 and 300, however, is the cabin size. The 300 and G200, for example, are 13" wider at the floorline, 9" wider at the centerline, and an inch taller, all translating to about 100 more cubic feet in volume. Side by side, the difference is discernible. Can't imagine anyone would prefer the 4000 over the larger G200 on a 5.5 hour coast to coast trip.

The Hawker 4000 recieved full certification last week.
Nope-not full certification, the type certification. There are still a few items left before full certification. Ice, I believe, is one item.

I saw it a month ago in HPN. It was painted in NetJets colors and the tail number was a QS. The plane still had expiermental painted on it.
