Looks like Murname left a paper trail documenting their criminal violation of Hawaiians NDA's. Mesa is being SERVED. :)

http://biz.yahoo.com/bizj/060629/1308452.html?.v=5

The best part of the article?
"We are having a tough time with the allegation," Ornstein said.

Too frickin bad! How does it feel playing bee-itch to Hawaiian OJ? :uzi:

I cant wait to find out how much this ends up costing mesa. Those idiots! :smash:

man, it is hard to believe dumping tickets at 39 bucks an houris legal. there is no way they are any where near profitable with that rate.

It is not unusual for a company to price its product at a "loss" to acquire market share. The "legacy" carriers do that all the time and I wouldn't doubt that Hawaiian did it at some point during its competition with Aloha and vice versa. Compteition is always cut-throat.

Apart from that, the other allegations are interesting. We'll have to see what the judge thinks.

This is my favorite part of the article:

"Hawaiian says it found conclusive evidence of misuse of confidential information that Hawaiian disclosed during its bankruptcy in 2004."

As pirma facie evidence, just the fact that Mesa had access to these internal Hawaiian documents should be dam#ing enough. If HA in fact has hard
evidence of what surely seems plausible, LET THE INJUCTIONS BEGIN!!

"We are giving local people an opportunity to visit friends and families, and it's a shame Hawaiian wants to take it away from them," said Jonathan Ornstein, CEO of Mesa.
OMG, it's so sad that JO said that, and even sadder that some people will believe him. He makes sound like Hawaiian is holding people hostage.

Heh.

My favorite part of aforementioned article?

"Hawaiian said it is not asking Mesa to shut down but wants it to sit out a year from the interisland market."

The spin is so thick on both sides it's making my head hurt. Remember, you can always trust what comes out of a corporate suit's mouth.

When this case was first filed JO tried to get the venue moved out of the Bankruptcy court. He lost, the Judge said this was a pretty clear cut case. Simple fact is Mesa signed a confidentality agreement and broke it. That's against the law. I loved Mesa's arguement, they said they shreded all the confidential information so it's OK now. YGTBSM!

Ya I remember District Judge Helen Gillmor said

Bankruptcy Court was the proper venue to hear a suit that Hawaiian filed for injunctive relief and damages against Mesa. She dismissed Mesa's arguments that the case should be moved because Hawaiian is no longer in bankruptcy and the case involves antitrust issues.

Gillmor said Bankruptcy Judge Robert Faris "is very capable of looking at this" and that the case is early in the process. "The antitrust issues seem very straightforward: Antitrust 101," she added.

HAHAHAHAHA JO YOU ARE FUKCED!

J.O. is a Scumbag. I feel sorry for the poor (and I mean poor) pilots who have to work for him. If he has to sit out a year, I would not be surprised if he make them sit w/o pay while he waits.

Lets see...at $39/seat, if the plane was full that's $1950 for a full plane. No way they can be making money on that.

First the $39 dollar fare is permanent, and now it is not. JO just blows with the wind man.

Yup, no cancellation pay, CXU all the way GO GUYS!

Let's see $89 plus taxes and fee's....that comes to about....TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS RT!!!! Yet JO says HAL/AQ having been gouging the public for charging fares like that! Unbelievable!

Da guy's got balls but not much short-term memory of what claims he's made. Viva JO.....

Are the folks that fly at GO, are they beginning paid? Or is this some sort of Gulfstream Academy stuff?

They are all pilots that were based on the mainland and bid over here. They already had an incident of potential jumpseat abuse. No fault of the individual pilots, but their management tried to save a few dollars having pilots jumpseat to a training event.
What was the deal with Gulfstream Academy?

I LOVE it, You go Johnny O HA Ha ha......

Hey mesa pukes, get your K. Y. ready 'cause here it comes !!!!! First J. O. gets corn holed in federal court and then?????? Labour gets it in the wallet. Because it's coming and gess what, "its long over due". you heard it here first. You bottom feeding scumbags......

Just curious if anyone has any info on the supposed runway overrun and nosegear collapse in MKK by GO. Happened a few days ago.

Repeat after me.

"MESA PILOTS DON'T CARE ABOUT GO."

If it succeeds or fails - - - who care's? Everyone has jobs on the mainland to go back to, because we're shorthanded out here in the real world.

I find it supremely ironic that you guys think that 3% of our fleet that nobody other than JO cares about is going to put you out of business. And I thought we had a sh!!ty business model and product to offer.

Fair enough, Mesa pilots don't care. That makes sense. The following are some major reasons why HA, AQ, and Island Air care about go!:

-After years of loss leader pricing and cutthroat competition, the shrinking interisland business was finally showing a profit over the past few years. Customers actually were paying what it cost to provide interisland service. The addition of about 20% extra capacity at money-losing fares cuts revenues to unacceptable levels while the price of fuel is so high.

-A historical look at airline competition shows why HA and AQ have declared this to be a figurative "war" (not to belittle that term while real people are fighting real wars in this world). Just look at the history of this business. When AA fought against Legend? air who was providing one class first class service out of Love Field in the 90's. One could have argued that it was just a small operator with just a few aircraft. AA fought hard and put them out of business. It's necessary to protect market share to protect revenues.

-Mesa's objective is to chase either AQ or HA out of interisland. If a competitor is fighting you at this core level, well, it's a battle for livlihoods. People's jobs. That is what go is threatening. With AQ on such shakey financial ground, go could push them right into oblivion. So go is literally threatening the financial lives of many Hawaiian residents.

-A lying blustering CEO who got a look at the inside information of both HA and AQ, then has the gall to use that info. to come and compete against them! Bad form at best, illegal at worst.

"You" and Mesa pilots might not be able to care less about the success/failure of go. These are a few of the reasons why others are so passionatey opposed to "go".

Ornstein at it again. He is just great at making friends.

http://www.smmirror.com/MainPages/DisplayArticleDetails.asp?eid=3435

The main reason he is trying to prevent this beach estate from becoming a community asset and facility, is that he apparently thinks it will lower his property value.

One person there at a previous meeting said Ornstein was acting threatening towards someone and Ornstein wanted to take it outside.

Yeah. I know. But my blood gets up when I read things like "you Mesa pukes", which is the quote I responded to.

Other than that, I REALLY don't care about the Hawaii op one way or another.

This guy had a great idea for the wall along JO's PCH estate http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mesaairlinesemployeeforum/message/452

I wish he would threaten me like that! I never get any of the good fights these days.

What were they doing there? Are they infringing on WP's market share now too?

You think go! wages suck. Wait till you're all juniored to China. At least dog meat is cheap there.

Ornstein said Mesa is continuing to look at opportunities in China, and that Chief Financial Officer George "Peter" Murnane just returned from there this week. He was there with aviation consultant Mo Garfinkle, who now works for Mesa after previously having consulted for Hawaiian.

"We continue to look at what we think are exciting opportunities there, but those things take time," Ornstein said.
