Don't see what's so disgraceful. Just putting my opion out there about a person who slings her own spun propaganda and doesn't even work in the industry. No apologies here.

So why can't NJW have an opinion about the fractional industry? Her husband is a NetJets pilot and his job directly affects her and their family. Sounds like a basis for a reasonable opinion. And before you ask, yes, I do know NJW and her husband.

Using your logic, no one could have an opinion about religion unless he (or she) was a priest, rabbi, shaman, or imam.

As you can see, I have been a member of this board for quite some time but prior to this I have never felt the need to post.

A wife (especially an aviation wife) is part of a team. What affects her husband affects her family. She is wise to stay on top of developments in his career and in my case I am sometimes more current on developments than my husband is, simply because I have the time. I can read FARs all day and talk "shop" with the best of them.

Prior to starting our family, I worked at the management level in the professional world. I made more money than most flex captains. We took the financial sacrifice so our children would be better served and so I would be available to my husband. It is the only way we have found to have a stable sustaining family life in this crazy business, but I know not everyone has that luxury.

My point in saying this is that it is possible that given her career (current or former), intuition, intelligence and understanding, some wives might be better suited for understanding the eccentricities of the job more so than some of their men flying the plane.

I am offended as a FlexJet wife that some of you guys (like 604driver and flyingdog1) would take an opportunity to point out all the benefits of Flex and what a wonderful class act company it can be, and flomux it up with such filth. It is not the guys with such “negative posts” (to you that means anything pro-union) that are making flex look bad, it is your boorish and infantile behavior.

I can sit idly by and listen to your childish posts about the sizes of your whatevers or the "hot FBO chicks" if I must, but you have crossed the line with some of your more recent posts. In time I have been on the board I have never seen any of the so called “flex bashers” stoop to such levels, but you go there right away when trying to defend the company. It makes so sense! Are you trying to make Flex look bad? It makes my husband and his company look bad to even be associated with pilots like this.

Netjetswife, on behalf of my husband and the hundreds of other decent pilots he works with, I apologize. It crossed the line and is embarrassing to even have to read.

Get back to the kitchen, and when your done, why don't you hop on that brass dance pole!

Reservations??? Hello, one for the penalty box please. Flyingcat, listen up, it's bad if someone else here has to apologize for YOU because you are missing a backbone and cant do it yourself. THAT says a lot about you.

The median expected salary for a typical Captain/Pilot in Command (Small Jet) in Dallas, TX, is $100,872. This basic market pricing report was prepared using our Certified Compensation Professionals' analysis of survey data collected from thousands of HR departments at employers of all sizes, industries and geographies. http://swz.salary.com/salarywizard/graphics/readon.gif http://salary.hotjobs.com/salarywizard/graphics/clear.gif Just a small tidbit of info.

The ironic thing is that while they complain about my posts, I am sticking to the issues and defending my position civilly. Thanks for standing up for common decency, XP. The NJ pilots have been very good at defending my right to post here, and I appreciate it a lot!

Thanks Flexwife! That trashy post was right up there with the one from 2004 that said my children would be the ones in the sniper towers -- because I spend some of my time posting here. The moderators did yank that one off the board. Your articulate post shows that you have an insight that could be of benefit to those who post and read this board. I encourage you to share your insider information with all of us during this time of change in the industry.

Moderator Input

Folks, as UAL said, let's try to remain civil here. This thread has value; don't cause us to pull it because of the improper comments of a few. Normal, logic-based and even emotional posts are welcome. Let us simply not devolve into senseless attacks on each other.

Thanks in advance.

I have been on the road and unable to look at the board for awhile so I was interested right away when I saw this thread and it's numerous posts. Then I looked at it... Nothing but dissappointment...

For a thread that started as an anti-union praise-a-thon for Flex and what a wonderful place it is and manangement is great blah blah blah I find it amusing that after 37 posts there are only 3 or 4 (less if you don't count Necro's) supporting that goal.

There has been more pro-flex stuff on the pro-union threads. Once again proving my point that a person who is pro-union can also be pro-company. I am on record in many other threads, as are many other pro-union posters, that flex has the ability to be the envy job of every frac pilot out there if we stick to our guns and stick together. This thread does nothing but further my goal of seeing Flex unionized.

Some of you guys did no one, let alone flex, any favors by taking it where you did. It's really quite sad. That's okay, our union will fight for better things for you anyway...

On that front I have been in touch with 1108 and they are sending more cards to be handed out on the road at the request of several pilots who claim everyone is asking for one but no one can get one. In the past month I have been all over the US and have met up with more flex crews than usual. Not ONE has been anti-union even those that are thrilled with the new payscales. Huh... See ya on the line.

Griffin,
What stage are we in with the union? Everyone gets a card, signs it, mails it in, and then what??

I'm with you bro on making this the best place.

Closed Minded

To all who are closed minded and think they know all there is to know about unions you are foolish not to even be willing to see / hear all your options. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER! We are breaking new ground in our industry (fractional) being that it's still in it's infancy. The unions of yesterday are not the union of today but the basic rules of life still hold true. UNITED WE STAND DIVIDED WE FALL! Let us forge our own futures together instead of having it dictated to us without a say in the matter. The questions now are, Are you intelligent enough to gather all the facts not hearsay to be able to make an informed decision? Are you capable of doing your own research and embracing change or are you going sit fat, dumb and happy?
Procrastination is the key to success! Do it and you will fail!
