You have to admit your post was a bit of a non-sequitor. Happy 311 Day sounds to me like some sort of an historic celebration.

Forgive me for not tuning in my radio this morning and looking to the past to understand this thread.

Thanks for the NY Times link. I had no idea, though I've been following the Basque separatist movement for some time.

I know it sounds like one of those corny awards they hand out to people that just show up for a seminar or something, but the Level D sim for the Caravan is really quirky to fly, especially during a 135 check ride.

This certificate was handed to me today, while I was working on some additional ground schooling on company matters, today on 3/11.

So that was my 311 story, and I'm sticking to it!

I was wondering how many would pick up on my idea here. To clarify, today is 311 day. 311 The Band is one the greatest rock bands ever and they always have a special concert in New Orleans on March 11th. Just thought I'd throw it out there and see if anyone knew what I meant. For all you not familiar, welcome to the hive.

Ever since they moved away from Nebraska to L.A., the music seems uninspired.

Well 311 now has more significance than some rock band that most people have never heard of. It now represents close to 200 innocent civilians killed and more than 1400 injured in Europe.

I was horrified when I turned on my computer this morning and my Yahoo home page had this attack as the lead story.

My heart goes out to the families of the victims.
