On 10/31/01 I tried to jumpseat on HAL from OGG to HNL and was told I needed to be in uniform. Is this still the policy, or was that just a temporary rule after 9/11?

Whoever that Captain was, he was blowing smoke up you're okole. I don't think we ever had that rule, and we certainly don't now. If it happens again, be polite, but send a letter to our chief pilot, or to our union office. That'll get some attention!

Well, like I said, it was the month after september 11th. It seems like a lot of airlines had knee jerk reactions to what happend. I was just making sure things were back to normal. Plus, you know how gate agents are. They always know more than you and I do.
