I don't have any experience with this personally but have always said that if ever the need be then I would give it a shot. I have read that this can be quite expensive and can require multiple graph sessions before you will see any results. Seems like anywhere you look these days you will run into one of these hair replacement centers.
Take a look at Bosley, I think he was the pioneer of this procedure and is pretty much the cream of the crop, best of the best.

At Bosley, the surgical transplantation of hair follicles is a remarkably simple outpatient procedure.

Lifelong hair follicles are found in good supply in virtually all men, even severely bald men. These lifelong hairs are concentrated in an area at the back and sides of the head. We call this region the “donor area.” Our physicians take excess hairs - follicles and all - from this plentiful area and relocate them to areas of thinning and balding on the top or front of the head. Among the finest of arts, hair transplantation requires a deep interest in recreating a brand new hairline zone that complements a patient's specific facial features, age and lifestyle.

Of course your approval of our strategy for your hair is an absolute must and will be your doctor's central guide in tailoring your new hairline. And, individual results may vary.

The medical process for hair restoration involves the transplanting of hairs and follicles from one area of the head to another.
Every single follicle of hair on the human scalp is genetically programmed before birth to either become sensitive to the male hormones which begin to appear during puberty - causing the follicle to wither and die in time - or not to become sensitive to these hormones and continue growing throughout one’s lifetime.
During the procedure, grafts are placed ONE AT A TIME in the thinning and balding areas. Bosley physicians are trained to artistically perform this procedure in a manner that results in virtually undetectable natural-looking restored hairlines and natural density.

What is a hair transplant exactly?
Hair transplantation is an artistic redistribution system that takes donor-dominant hair follicles from the very back and sides of the head and artfully transplants them into thinning or balding areas. With Bosley follicular unit technologies, this results in a very natural appearance. Basically we take hair from where you have more than you need and put it where you need it more.
How long do transplants last?
For the vast majority of patients, virtually all transplanted hair lasts a lifetime. In some cases, a small percentage of transplanted hair may be lost as the patient ages.
