Rumor floating around that the System CP at GIA FAILED his 441/PC/Checkride and had to redo it under threat of termination if it was failed a second time. Anyone out there know if there is any truth to this? Confirm or deny?

Karma can not be fooled...

How much do you have to pay to be chief pilot at gulfstream?

I think it's about 80k. They take you from zero time to chief pilot in about six months. If you started tomorrow you could be threatening and firing pilots by the first of the year. :D

How the f can you fail a 1900 check ride. It's a seminole with turbine engines, not even a gps, and a crappy efis that takes about 5 minutes to learn what it can do if it has auto pilot.

Who cares, shame on you for advertising this.

Tad cocky, don't you think?......Be careful on your next checkride......

...And Karma has a new target.

F Karma... the good Lord himself is gonna take care of this one. Most failures on check rides are usually over stupid stuff like forgetting to change a frequency or doing a procedure turn incorrectly. It can happen to anyone.

I'd say it's closer to a Baron with turbine engines...

I havent yet but I know sometime before I hang up the hat I will. Maybe its the fact that I am terrified of failure that has put my a$$ in gear come checkride time...

LoL, hopefully the the 1900 checkride gods won't bother me since I don't fly it anymore. I'm more respectufl of the modern RJ gods and fully know what can happen if you disrespect.

I had a GIA 1900 roll to the end of an 8500 ft strip causing us to go around the other day. Everyone else made the turn about mid field. He was told several times to clear the runway but slowly rolled all the way to end. Thank you very much.

Was probably the Chief Pilot at the controls. Couldn't get on his brakes and into reverse until he had his hat on for his arrival at the gate. First things first...

Lucky for you, you have 1900 time. It is THE greatest plane ever designed. Its like the fat girl in highschool; you dated her not because you wanted other people to know about it but because it simply felt good to you.
