Gulfstream Captains

Just curious where Gulfstream gets their captains. Also, do they hire any F/Os that aren't pay for training?

Just trying to satisfy my curiosity. Thanks in advance!

Simple- They dredge the bottom of the airline industry. You should have no curiosity about airlines that rent their seats.

From what I've read on other threads, a "few" of the PFT FOs are retained and hired as FOs after their 250 hours are up. Apparently some of them stick around long enough to become captains. I believe GS also used to hire street captains. All of their FOs come from their PFT ranks (why bother hiring someone off the street when you can make an extra $22G by making them go thru PFT?)

Any present/former Gulfstreamers please feel free to correct this.

Hmm...let's see now. GW Bush and the conservatives are champions of "smaller government?" GW's latest budget is the LARGEST federal budget ever with the largest budget DEFICIT ever - Democrat or Republican, with increases larger than inflation in ALL areas of the budget. There's so much pork in there they may as well slap "Cure 51"on it.

Party of "Family Values?" Lessee...the President's and Florida Governor's daughters are both in rehab -- no fault of their own, but hardly poster families for how to raise your kids. And the father of "Contract on America" -- "Eye of" Newt Gingrich, not only is twice divorced, and married a former aide who is younger than his daughters, and with whom he was fooling around with while still married, he served his second wife divorce papers while she was in a hospital bed recovering from cancer surgery! Great family values, Newt!

Hey, hypocrisy is everywhere in politics, and is certainly bi-partisan.

There's plenty to go around in both parties, my friend...

Naah, you miss my point. Are the Dems hypocrites about the military service? Absolutely!

Are the Reps hypocrites about family values and the size of government? Right again!

I'm just saying anyone who doesn't accept that both sides are hypocritical wanks who play issues to their political advantage has got their blinders on.

Gulfstream---the only company that I was hired as a captain and never even went to an interview or even sent them a resume and no time in a B-1900. Of course I didn't take the job.
