I had a friend a while back that said he did this type of flying to build up flight time. Trying to help out a friend with this post.

Anybody have any leads on this type of flying that can get him pointed in the right direction? Thanks!

I am not sure if your referring to off shore work, but I am assuming you are because of the platform question. You might tell your friend to look into ERA Aviation. They have offices in both Lousiana and Alaska I believe. I think they do Helicopter Platform work and Airline stuff, although I heard ownership may have changed. I applied a while ago but never heard anything, I think you need to have internal connections.

Aerial Survey, Inc. out of Galveston, Texas does that kind of work with Twin Comanches. I don't know that they are looking for anybody, though.
