Hello
I'm going to be in Antigua from Aug 21-25. Wondering if there are any flight schools in that area? I'm a student pilot with 80 hours. Looking to rent a plane with instructor and fly to Tikal. Any thoughts? good idea or bad?
Thanks

I have been to Antigua and don't remember seeing any airports. If there are I wouldn't recomend trying to fly. Guatemala is so poor, I couldn't imagine any airplanes someone is willing to rent, being in very good shape.

I doubt there are any flight schools in Antigua, it's too rocky and there is an active volcano just a few miles away from the city.

It's a great place to study Spanish, tons of schools in the area.

I believe the airport in Guatemala city has a GA activity.
