Can anyone tell me if there is any inexpensive and reliable ground transportion between IAH and HOU? Something that runs on a scheduled basis or can be scheduled when needed? Thanks!

Supershuttle.

Do you need to get to DAL? If you do there are a couple of CoEx flights from IAH-DAL.

Good luck waiting for that flight since the only us passenger DC-9 operater left is Northwest and they Don't fly that route...... Looks like that is at least a 25 year old picture.

A year ago I took a bus between the two and it ran me about 20 bucks. Took while but It worked.

Sorry, vain attempt at humour. I believe that service was pulled down about 20 years ago. Continental hasn't flown DC-9s for what, 12 or 13 years?

I'll be slightly helpful, I guess: http://www.merloscharters.com/content/view/50/48/
Continental didnt't run this route, it was subbed to Emerald Airlines, based in AUS..They operated a fleet of DC-9-10's and -20's, along with a few FH227's. They went tango uniform in 1986 or 87.

Interesting, I couldn't find much history on the route. Imagine the outcry if someone flew a 70 seat DC-9 in mainline colors today, why there'd be....erm...nevermind.

There is a van service, I am sorry but I can't recall the name, that goes from IAH to Hobby. I took it once a couple of years ago, it stops at 2 or 3 hotels along the way, but it's not too bad. If I recall, they gave a pretty big airline employee discount. I know they are still in business because I walk by their counter every time I go to work, but I can't recall the name exactly. I'll bet if you call one of the Hobby rent a car companies or the airport managers office they will point you in the right direction. Dad

There is a van service I believe it's called the texas shuttle. You pick it up near baggage claim. I believe it runs every 30min. You do get a airline discount.

In my CoEx days, we used to run a Be1900 between IAH-HOU... nothing like doing 9 legs for 3 1/2 hours of pay and never leaving the city....
