Does anyone know where I could find a ground school course in the NYC are? My friend has about 10 hours and want to begin hs gound school.

NYC ground school

There is one in NYC...my friend runs it. I dont have his business number on me...but you can call million air and get his number..201-288-1353..just ask for Jay and tell them you want his number to get info on the ground lab. ...

NYC area can mean many things...

If by NYC you mean Brooklyn and Queens, Republic is closer than the other places mentioned so far... And much easier to get to. There are at least two active flight schools out there, not to mention SUNY Farmingdale's offering of professional aviation degrees. There's also Islip, too, if that's not too far out.

If you are in the Bronx, White Plains is closer.

I was looking for a ground school class only. Queensborough community college at one time ran a ground school class for PP and IFR ratings.

Well... any flight school should offer ground school to anyone who's willing to write them a check. If you don't want to fly there, then don't. Just take the ground school.
