There is no pilot issue. Maybe for the regionals. They'll just cut flying or shut down before they pay you more.
 
a college degree has nothing to do with driving a bus, although a lot of bus drivers to have college degrees
 
Pretty lousy wage top out, I don't think this really helps the case that regionals need to pay more. Why compare yourself to a job like that when you should be comparing your self to a job that requires the background being a professional pilot does.

Still higher than the median individual income.
 
On my kids' field trips, the drivers always seem to eat free. They almost always are not doing a legal day. 5am at the yard to pick kids up at 6am. Get back to the school at 8pm or later, and sleeping in the bus during the day.
