I started flying lessons at Mitchell Field in 1969, soloed at Ft Hood flying club 1971, took more lessons at DuPage in Illinois 1972, and finished my Private licence at Burlington In Wisconsin 1987. So I asked my instructor, who congratulated me, should I say Ive been flying for 18 years or it took 18 years to get my licence? Also been reading about the Southwest overun at Midway, were they really landing with a tailwind? I tried that once in a trainer at a way out place with my landing lights on and that was something, first thing I learned is you have to approach very low, I managed to land a couple of times out of about 7 or eight attempts, not something Id want to do regularly, but It was an odd way to land an airplane.

I dont rember the FBO but I will look-up the CFI in my logbook.
Got signed off for x-country at DuPage but I cant make out the signature. Got the number but dont think it a good idea to put it on the internet. The aircraft registration is N8707. Flew out of Burlington WI with Steve Price. He was going with the carriers last I saw him.
