Hi Everyone,

I found this website and thought I would share it. I have a client in Sao Paulo, Brazil that forced me to find the site because he could not tell me how many hours ahead of me he was! :)

Good site if you need it.

That would be a neat picture to see.

Now my next challenge is going to be communicating with the guy from Brazil. He is originally from France and speaks about 5 languages. This should be fun!

That's really cool Kathy!

I remember doing a trip to the Royal Observatory, and somewhere I have a picture of my friends and I standing on the Prime Meridian.

And I thought I was the only one who did that ;) :D

Now, you know that I love you to death, Kathy.....but isn't GMT(UTC) always the same, no matter which city you're in?;)
Not according to mattpilot on this thread. ( I didn't have the heart to correct him in front of Unanswerd on one of his "cry wolf" threads.) :)

Unanswerd
If that guy were for real and relied too heavily on the info harvested from this board and managed to make it past the written, he'd not only fail to make it past the oral, but the examiner would burn his student certificate on the spot!:D

Yes, you're right! :) I had his GMT-3 in my head when I wrote the title. It should have said "calculating what time it is according to GMT."

Remember the thread asking about pilot fatigue? I think I am suffering from "resume writer/career coach/mother of two children" fatigue!! :D (Notice the time I posted this - it is like this every day until about 10 pm at night)

I could have used that site in 2000--it would have saved me much marital grief.

While deployed to Iceland (sitting alert against...hmm, ok...nobody out there left to attack us, but hey...at least we were on alert and the fog was blowing past the window at 50 kts.) on Mothers Day, I figured that since my East Coast based wife was four hours (with DST) ahead of me, I'd give her a noon-ish call to wish her a happy Mom's Day.

Sooo, at 8:00 am I called. Got a rather sleepy voice on the other end of the line and just wasn't smart enough to figure out why she was napping in the middle of the day. "Oh." Whoops. "You're four hours behind Iceland. Uh, right. Yeah, I realize it's 4:00 am." Now, that is.

Needless to say, I'm still paying the price for that time faux pas.

Just like my Daddy said, you gotta be smarter than the watch, son.
