Always. Of course, if you share the attitude of most Lakes FO's you could skip the middle man and go straight to Skywest.

I don't know for sure if they are, but they seem have "pilots" listed under current job openings. Here's the link to the pilot info:

As it says under "key requirements", having a letter of recommendation from a current Laker is a huge plus. But if you've got 1400 hours, you are certainly well over their TT minimum, assuming you've got the multi time, too.

It's an interesting place to work, to say the least. Very trying schedules, rampant junior-manning at times, and low pay but you will learn to fly and you'll experience a lot of different items like high-altitude airports, performance limits, mountain flying, etc. The job is what it is, so to speak, and what you make of it.
