Heard a rumor that Lakes is going to open bases in STL, MSP, and MKE and fly some of the 1900 routes served by skyways. Any truth to this?

IIRC, GL is the only bidder (I think) for the EAS routes to MI that Skyway is not renewing (I think the contract is up May 31). I haven't heard anything about STL or MSP.

That's not a rumor, it's reality, the outstations are already preparing for Great Lakes to take over. Also heard that GL was taking over TSA EAS routes.

Of course that's all assuming that the DOT allows this to go through. I was told that all together GL was trying to acquire 17 new locations.

The dockets for the EAS change are public record, they're online for everyone to see. I'm not going to do your searching for you, however. Further Voss and the Skyway boss are buddies from way back, indications are that Lakes will lease 13-ish Skyway 1900s.
