I saw an episode of Mail Call and the Gunny took a ride in the B-2. Rode in the right seat. Is the thing single plot with a weapon's officer?

One pilot, one co-pilot/weapons officer.

I flew a couple thousand feet over one of those last week doing what looked like a holding pattern over eastern Kansas/ western Missouri. Pretty f'n sweet.

Had a flight of F-22's pass me an night several weeks ago while going into PFN.

I gave a Baron checkout to a guy who was a mission planner in the 509th Bomb Wing at Whiteman. A few weeks later, he called me and asked if I wanted to take a tour of the B2 and fly the simulator. So of course, I took him up on it. There's quite a bit of room in the cockpit, including a toilet. It's got 4 internally mounted engines and the same landing gear as the B757. The pic in my avatar is one I took that day in the hangar.

The sim is pretty cool. We did a couple of ILS approaches, some touch and goes, and air to air refueling.

My brother worked on this thing when it was in production. If you notice on the slow speed shots (takeoff and landing), there are openings above the engines that allow extra air to be sucked into the engines.

Well, it's been a few years, but I wrote some software for the radar installed in the B2.

I still remember my shock when I saw the artist's rendition of the aircraft in a classified document after I got my security clearance to work on the project back in 1985. I'm still proud of the work I did back then.

Now why did I choose to fly for a living? ;)
