I recently saw a posting on climbtofl350 for Grant Aviation, a small Part135 operator in Alaska. They were charging $38 for the application. Unbelivable. Just wanted to vent and let everyone know again how wonderfully rewarding this career is. I just wish I could find my old guidence counsler.

I went to their website and appiled about a week ago. Did NOT have to pay any fees. They didn't even ask for CC info. Just answered a lot of questions about my experience and then the 81 question phyc. test at the end.

You have to take an 81 question psych test to fly a 207 out of Emmonak, AK? Wait a minute. I guess that makes sense in a way. If you're on the verge of going nuts, living in a dry village in the Yukon Delta might just put you over the edge.

!!!!ROFLMAO!!!!

That is the FUNNIEST freaking thing I've read on the internet in a long, long time!!!

Propilot wrote "81 question phyc. test".

I thought he meant "psych" test but that would be just too ridiculous!! So I convinced myself it was a "physical test".

But NO!!!

Can this be true? Is Grant really trying to find people CRAZY enough to fly their airplanes in southwest Alaska?

I guess they need someone to replace that guy that piled in a 207 off of Marshall--even though his Capstone (Tombstone?) machine turned all red indicating all terrain features *above* him.
