Anybody know what Grand Aire is paying Falcon SIC's and /or Metro pilots??

I am sure it sucks but curious no less.

You couldn't pay a person enough to work there. They must have set some 135 record last year when they lost two airplane in one day. Not to mention those killed. NOT a safe operation.

I don't have any first hand experience with GA but used to fly with a guy that flew a Hansa for them - the fact that they fly the Hansa should be an indicator as to the quality of the operation - and the stories he told me were unreal!! I have no reason to think that he would lie to me and he flat out said he's lucky to be alive.

Doesn't matter what the pay is - stay far, far away!

Pay is $21,000.00/year +$18.00/hr flight time + per diem

They called me for a class starting on the 24th. How bad can this company be (compared to being a cfi, I mean)? And besides Xjet is taking 60-90 days to call back-what's up with that? Jet time sic @$30,000.00/year is awfully tempting!

Adam and Eve had trouble with an apple, and just look what it got them!

At least as a CFI you have a fighting chance of staying alive. I'm so glad you have put a price on your life ($30,000 for jet time).

I don't care how desperate you get, don't sell out safety.

The pilot of the Falcon that crashed last year was famous for saying "We know how to conserve fuel at Grand Aire". He sure did....conserved it all the way to flameout. Do not work there if you value your certificate or your life.

Does anybody know if the "Wacky Paki" is still at the helm at Grand Aire?? I've heard some really great stories about him over the years, but I heard he had sold out and left the freight biz.........

And just for the sake of asking, who would be worse Grand Aire, or Air Tahoma??

I got a call last month from Air Tahoma but turned it down hoping better things on the horizon will pan out.
