Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
The Department of Justice announces the Aircraft Pilot, Open Statewide
Examination. The eligible list created from this exam will be used to fill
positions in Sacramento, Fresno and Long Beach. The Final Filing Date for this
examination is July 25, 2002. To apply, submit a State Application Form (Std.
678) to: Department of Justice, Testing & Selection Unit, P.O. Box 944255,
Sacramento, Califonia 94244-2550. Visit our website at
www.ag.ca.gov/careers/exams.htm to read the exam bulletin containing Minimum
Requirements and other information, obtain a State Application Form (Std. 678)
and learn more about the department. Questions can be referred to the Testing &
Selection Unit at (916) 324-5039.


REQUIREMENTS:
Licenses: Possession of the following certificates or licenses: 1. A valid
Federal Aviation Agency (FAA) Commercial Airman Certificate with single-engine
land airplane & instrument ratings. OR A valid Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)
Certificate with a single-engine land airplane . OR A valid FAA Commercial
Airman Certificate Rotorcraft-Helicopter with a valid instrument rating. OR A
valid ATP Certificate with Rotorcraft-Helicopter rating. AND 2. A valid FAA
Class I or Class II medical certification. AND Experience: Applicants must have
logged a minimum of 1,250 hours total flight time. AND Logged a minimum 500
hours Pilot-in-Command flying single engine airplanes. OR Logged a minimum 500
hours Pilot-in-Command flying helicopters. AND Documented evidence of all
general and special flight experience must be provided at the time of hire.
