Forgive if this has been asked, but I searched to no avail.

I know jobs are posted through usajobs.gov and some are detailed, but does anybody know of any insight on getting on with the Dept of Justice, or CBP etc (as a pilot)...

I'm coming out of the military soon and don't think I can survive on what the 121's are offering.

When you say you don't think you can survive on what the airlines are paying, if you're talking about the commuter/regionals, then fair enough. If you're talking about the majors...then you need to do a little more research.

Your starting point for government job will be www.usajobs.gov.

You may wish to check out APTAP.org for information by others making the transition back to civillian life. While it's put together by Army pilots, it applies to all services, and you'll see participants by a variety of different backgrounds.

I was talking about what the first year FO's make flying the RJ's. Not the Majors, besides I don't have the time they need.
