Please...

Can't we all just get along?!

You're new to aviation, huh? This is getting along!

I was mistaken in my belief that the USCG was still part of the DOT. It is now another segment of the Department of Homeland Security....along with FEMA and the TSA.

Inter-service rivalry is all-in-fun stuff. We're all proud of our affiliation, skills, and comrades. The bottom line is we are all brothers-in-arms and share that kinship above all. Yes...chicks too! It's still amusing to point out differences and use them as ammo for ribbing.

You're in-line for a fun time and a challenge. Good luck!

Oh yeah...."Plane Guard" and SAR drivers never pay for the beer when they're with me!

Congrats on San Fran. It is a great airstation. You will love it. I probably won't be here anymore when you come through your T-course but I will make sure you get the special treatment. I will also put in a good word for you with the Command at San Fran. I will really be hooking you up.

Thanks... you have already helped me and I appreciate it. I was told I will be there in min July.. just in time for hurricane season.

I am looking forward to it all. Is the course in the C model, since that is what San Fran will be flying?

If he's going through helo training it will be in Mobile, AL. Hurricane alley.

Yeah the course is is Mobile, AL.

Sig.. where are you now? You going to fly Hornets? Stay away from Key West if you do...

Well Matt,

It looks like I will be gone when you get here. I should be on my way to Port Angeles by then. I am sure we will meet face to face at some point though. The Coast Guard is pretty small.

The T-course is still B model and will be for some time yet. When you get to your unit you will only need a few flights to be C model qualified.

Good luck.

It will be great to have you back around the Gulf Coast again this summer. Who knows, maybe we'll get to do some good this time should we get nailed again.
