And, make sure you be very careful crossing the street or driving a car while talking on the phone during the first 6 months. Since CAL doesn't give you health insurance and you are paid less than any legacy first year, you might have to go without. Be very careful doing anything. When you are not flying, sit in one spot and don't move.

How long were you on the 'short list' before you got called? I've been on it for almost 4 months now, and I gather it takes anywhere for 4 months to a year before you get called, depending on the horsepower of who is pushing for you. Still waiting and hoping!!​

Congrats! CAL is a great company to be at and they are at the top of the pile right now. Study hard, be yourself and DO THE SIM prep and you'll do great.
