Description:
JOB FUNCTIONS: Prepares & conduct classroom, system trainer, cockpit procedures trainer, & full flight simulator training in accordance w/ FAR, Flight Operations Training Manual (FOTM), & Company requirements. Facilitate pilot learning & skills development to proficiency standards & certify competency. Develop & create instructional & evaluation media/materials for support of training programs. Maintain course material & procedural integrity through self study, skills practice, critique review, instructor meetings, & line operations observation program. Accomplish special projects & assignments as directed.


Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalency required. College degree is preferred. Must be at least 23 yrs of age. Must possess & FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (ideally w/ a B737 type rating) & have airline or military experience as a flight simulator training instructor. Pilot experience must include a minimum of 1 yr PIC/SIC in turbine powered aircraft in 121, 135, military, or similar environment. Must have vision ability to view & read computer/video on a frequent basis. Must possess a valid motor vehicle license. Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs in order to move training support equip from one location to another. Must have a good working knowledge & experience in the operation of training equip that includes: 35mm projection devices, overhead transparency projectors, video players/monitors, computer based training workstations, and cockpit procedures trainers. Must have the ability to comprehend & keep abreast of information pertinent to the job such as regulatory or contractual changes & new systems or procedures. Must have the ability to relate this info. to others. Must have the mental capacity to read technical aircraft documents, follow technical instructions, learn & understand new technical concepts, & prepare written technical documents that will convey info. or guidance to others in a understandable manner. Must possess extensive knowledge of flight training instructional duties along w/ a good working knowledge of FAR training requirements. Ability to work well w/ others as part of team & possess excellent verbal communications & interpersonal skills. Ability to accomplish accurate work under tight time constraints while maintaining a high degree of flexibility. Must have authorization to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
